Failure is the price of entry.

You think you’ll succeed without looking stupid first? Think again.

Here’s the truth: you don’t get anywhere without failing first. You want to hit your goals? You’ve got to be okay with looking stupid. That’s the deal. Most people avoid failure, thinking it’s something to be ashamed of. But here’s the thing: failure is good. It’s what shapes you, teaches you, and pushes you forward. If you’re not failing, you’re not growing.

Right now, I’m that obese guy in the gym, using bad form and lifting tiny weights. And yeah, it’s embarrassing. I feel eyes on me, like I don’t belong there. My form is off, and the weights I’m lifting? Nothing compared to the others. But here’s the thing—I keep showing up. I push through that embarrassment because I know this is the price I have to pay if I want to get stronger. You look dumb now so you can look smart later.

That’s the process. Whatever you’re trying to achieve—whether it’s learning a new skill, getting fit, or chasing your dreams—you’re going to fail at first. You’ll make mistakes, you’ll feel awkward, but that’s exactly what you need to improve. Without failure, you’ll never know what success is. Without the bad times, you won’t appreciate the good times. You’ll never know.

I’m still in this process—learning every day, obsessed with it—because I want to succeed. I know if I keep pushing through these failures, I’ll get better, and I’ll see the results. I’m not going to stop until I do.

So what now? Will you stay stuck, afraid to fail? Or will you push forward, knowing failure is the only way through?

Fail. Fail harder. Fail better.

See you tomorrow.
